Jean was born in New York City where she studied at the School of Visual Arts. She credits her artistically talented family as her main source of inspiration. As a young adult, Jean moved to Colorado where she took up photography as a way of blending her love of art, nature, and travel. She later spent several years on the Gulf Coast of Alabama working as a custom stained glass artist. Jean returned to Colorado in 2005 and established Glasshouse Studio, working with dichroic glass to create jewelry. Combining her talent for cutting and shaping glass developed as a stained glass artist along with her own artistic flair, Jean is gaining recognition as one of the leading dichroic glass jewelers in the nation.
